Cammack Accuses Biden of 'Letting Americans Die' from Border, Fentanyl Crisis

A recent op-ed by economist and gun activist John Lott for the Daily Caller suggested the Biden-Harris Administration has enabled crime spikes through their open border policies, and the reality of its impact could be worse than reported. Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL) discussed the article in a recent appearance on Fox News's Faulkner Focus, viciously condemning the White House, saying, "They let Americans die, and their blood is on their hands."

Lott's article noted that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) data from July 2024 reveals that 7.5 million illegal aliens have been released into the United States in the past four decades, including over 600,000 with criminal records as revealed in October.

"ICE has been processing criminals as they enter the country, but without identifying them as criminals. So, under the Biden administration, they have simply been released into the country. Now, they are walking freely in the United States, and no one knows where they are. As bad as these numbers are, the reality may be even worse," Lott's piece said ominously.

Rep. Cammack confirmed it during her Faulkner Focus appearance: "It is worse than people know. Just look at the fentanyl numbers alone. 300 people, on average, are being poisoned and killed every day by the fentanyl that is pouring over our borders [and] into our communities. The murder, the sexual assaults, everything that you can think of is happening at the hands of these dangerous, deadly cartels, and they are happening in every single community in America today. In my own region, in my own district, we have had murders at the hands of the Mexican cartels."

The Florida Congresswoman described fentanyl bricks with cartel stamps being found, sexual assaults, and trafficking of children occurring in her district.

"You cannot even imagine the depravity that takes place in every single community as a result of Biden's open border crisis. It is worse than people realize. And what is even more damaging, I think, is the fact that if 300 people a day had died in an airline crash, every day a plane was going down, there would have been every flight grounded by the end of the week, and a task force would have been set up to figure out how to fix it. Under the Biden Administration, they did not care. They let Americans die, and their blood is on their hands," Cammack concluded.
