President-elect Donald Trump's potential Cabinet for his second term has been hot news, especially after he selected Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) for Attorney General. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) recently spoke about Trump's Cabinet picks on Fox News's Your World, saying he "wants people who know how to message the American people."
She also said, "President Trump has always had a great instinct on people, even those that do not like him; he is tracking everything. So, for those that are skeptical about his relationship with Elon Musk, make no mistake that President Trump is in charge, and not possible to be swayed in any which direction."
The host noted that the President-elect has recently selected Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick to serve as Secretary of Commerce. Trump described Lutnick as someone who would "lead our Tariff and Trade agenda, with additional direct responsibility for the Office of the United States Trade Representative."
She asked Rep. Luna for her thoughts on the incoming Cabinet picks so far, to which she replied, "President Trump wants people who know how to message the American people. And also, remember, it is not just any one secretary position or Cabinet pick that is running the entire show. There is an entire team behind them."
"So I think so far that he has made it known that his picks are going to fight for the American people, but also, they are not coming to Washington to play games and just do business as usual. So, frankly, I have been very impressed with the picks, but as you are seeing, his picks are coming under fire, especially with these people that are now making allegations," the Florida Congresswoman continued.
Luna described how she has "been very vocal, especially on his nomination of Representative Matt Gaetz as the Attorney General, that Matt would be an incredible representative. I think it is completely wrong how they will try to smear and destroy people's reputations, but they also did that to Justice Brett Kavanaugh, so it is, unfortunately, business as usual in Washington."
