Florida Could Play Pivotal Role in Making Puerto Rico a State

On Tuesday, citizens of Puerto Rico had three options to pave the way for their future. Similar to 2012, 2017, and 2020, voters in Puerto Rico voted for statehood. The election night results show that over 56% of voters backed statehood, but what happens next?

Florida Democrats Demolished By Republican Party of Florida On Election Day

 

Tallahassee. A little more than four weeks ago, Florida Democrats bit off way more than they could chew. They launched their ambitious "Take Back Florida Distinction Program" where they claimed they'd win 21 competitive races against Florida Republicans, but they did not. Florida Republican candidates not only had better grassroots organization, but policies that left Florida Democrats biting the dust. Florida Republicans won 20 of the 21 competitive races Democrats highlighted.

“It wasn’t much of a contest, and believe me, we don’t mind because Florida deserves much better than what Florida Democrats were offering and voters agreed,” said Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power.

“They made many rookie mistakes and focused on less important things like changing their logo from a donkey to a Florida panther, an endangered species, as if that was going to help them win elections,” said Power. “Then again, that is prophetic. At the rate they are going, Florida Dems may easily become extinct,” said Power.
