Rep. Cory Mills -After spending weeks evacuating people in the Carolinas and assisting with relief efforts in Florida, following Hurricanes Helene and Milton, I’ve learned that FEMA teams were directed in Florida to skip homes displaying Trump signs, with similar instructions reportedly given in the Carolinas.

This targeted discrimination is a clear abuse of government power and suggests a deeper, systemic issue within FEMA. While I fully support Governor DeSantis’ call for a deeper dive into FEMA’s practices here in Florida, given these new allegations, we need to determine how widespread this politicized behavior is within the agency.

As a reminder, President Biden dismissed concerns about FEMA, calling them “misinformation.” This situation highlights why the American people rejected the Biden-Harris administration, and we look forward to President Trump restoring accountability and transparency across our federal agencies.
