Former President Donald Trump is criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris’ handling of illegal immigration as new public data is released regarding the quantity of undocumented immigrants within the US.
US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) published data for the month of September, where over 100 thousand undocumented immigrants were identified, demonstrating a 112% increase over President Trump’s average September.
Overall, the CBP report reveals over 10 million undocumented immigrants have been identified within the US throughout Vice President Harris’ administration.
Trump heavily criticized Harris for failing to adequately enforce the US’ immigration laws, claiming she is ignoring the crisis and eschewing responsibility.
The Trump campaign claimed Kamala is “unwilling to accept any responsibility for the border crisis she was tasked with overseeing.”
Trump has been campaigning on tough immigration enforcement.
If elected, Trump has promised he will “seal the border and begin the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.”
Recent polls demonstrate such a strategy may be working in his favor.
A breaking Wall Street Journal (WSJ) poll, for example, predicts former President Donald Trump will return to the White House come November.
The poll, conducted 12 days before election day, found President Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris 45 to 47%.
The WSJ poll surveyed 1,500 registered voters across the nation and revealed voters prioritized issues such as the economy, immigration, and abortion.
Voters also demonstrated increased proclivity to Trump’s policies while in office while demeaning Vice President Harris’ current performance.
Trump, according to the poll, scored a 52% approval rating while Harris was 10 points behind at 42%.
Another poll, conducted by Newsweek, claims even Harris voters prefer a harder stance on immigration.
Some political analysts claim Trump's immigration and economic policies could boost his electoral victory chances, as he leads Harris in immigration and economy, issues voters have repeatedly stated they prioritize.
