MIAMI - Former President Donald Trump's son, Eric Trump, shared a post Wednesday reportedly showing 275 linemen from Florida Power & Light arriving as guests at Trump National Doral in Miami with widespread power outages expected from Hurricane Milton.
"You are amazing and the Trump Family, and entire state of Florida, appreciates you! Enjoy the rooms - they are the best in Florida! Be safe," Eric Trump said.
Located about 20 minutes from Miami, Trump National Doral is a luxury hotel with 643 total guest rooms, 14 deluxe suites, 27 premier suites, 2 presidential suites, and 48 spa suites. The hotel also is famous for its golf course, known as The Blue Monster.
According to the National Hurricane Center, Milton is expected to make landfall tonight on Florida's west-central coast. The category 3 storm is currently packing 120 mph winds and is forecast to remain a major hurricane before hitting the state.
Moreover, the storm is expected to bring massive storm surge of 10 feet to 15 feet to the Tampa Bay, Anna Marie Island, Sarasota, and Venice areas. In addition, Milton is forecast to bring heavy rain, catastrophic wind, and possible tornado damage across the peninsula.
With the storm approaching, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also announced Wednesday more than 50,000 linemen were stationed in preparation for the Hurricane across the state.
