Gun rights enthusiasts and supporters argue that guns do not kill people, while gun control advocates counter that argument by saying that is wholly the gun’s fault.
As America begins to vote in this presidential election cycle, Democrats have once again begun to blame gun violence on the actual weapon and not the person who pulls the trigger.
Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz recently posted on “X that “Sometimes, it’s just the guns,” placing partial fault on weapons.
Sometimes, it’s just the guns.

Senate Democratic candidate Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, whose father was shot and killed during a robbery in Ecuador, also stated,” Let’s be clear: it’s the guns.”
“Our greatest moral failing is that gun violence is the LEADING cause of death in our children. Every day, parents send their kids to school not knowing whether they'll come home. Let's be clear: it's the guns, and it's time we do something about it,” stated Mucarsel-Powell.

Gun violence does exist in the U.S., so we don’t want to poke fun at any remarks that cast blame on solely the weapon, or dismiss the problem in any way.
If guns are the problem, who pulled the trigger setting it off?
Are guns firing themselves indiscriminately?
One may laugh, but how does an actual weapon made of steal and or wood, start firing on its own?
It is obvious to all that guns don’t just commit crimes on their own, rather there is always someone gripping the weapon who is solely responsible.
Gun control advocates push for common sense gun control such as background checks, bans on assault weapons, and bans on high-capacity magazines.
This advocacy is aimed at current or potential gun owners.
So if the gun lobby wants all of these gun restrictions put in place, why aren’t they asking for the same regulations to be placed on the actual weapon?
The problem is simple.
Bad Person + Gun= Crime
