More Florida Congressmen Condemn Iran's Missile Attack on Israel

Share

The Iranian missile attack on Israel has earned ferocious bipartisan condemnation and criticism from Congress, with Florida's delegation hosting some of the loudest voices. More support for the Jewish State came in throughout Tuesday from Florida Congressmen on X (formerly Twitter).

Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) was one of several Republicans who have attacked the Biden-Harris Administration for their foreign policy approach, calling the Iranian attack the "result of weak, absent leadership in DC, which has emboldened terrorists and sparked chaos around the globe. We need strong, decisive action to restore peace and security in our world. Israel, we stand with you and are praying for your safety."

Representative Cory Mills (R-FL), who personally aided in rescuing Americans trapped behind enemy lines in the wake of the October 7th attack last year, referenced the upcoming anniversary in his post, saying, "Iran’s attack today on Israel should be outright condemned. Israel is preparing for Rosh Hashanah, but no call from the UN for a ceasefire as they did for Iran during Ramadan. It is also approaching the 1 year anniversary since the horrific terrorist attack by the Iranian regime backed Hamas. This took the lives of nearly 1200 innocent civilians."

Additionally, Rep. Mills similarly attacked President Biden and Vice President Harris as enabling the attack, noting that "Whether it’s Hamas, Hezbollah, Iranian backed Shia militias in Iraq, or the Houthi rebels in Yemen, the root cause is the Iranian regime and the funding is due to the lack of sanction enforcement with regards to oil exportation, and billions in unfrozen assets by the Biden-Harris Admin."

Representative Jared Moskowitz (D-FL), who is Jewish himself, said, "My thoughts are with the people of Israel tonight. Iran’s horrific attack, so close to October 7th, is a reminder of the threat that Israel faces every single day and why America must stand with our ally against the Iranian regime and its terrorist proxies."

Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), a fellow Jewish-American Democrat, similarly added, "Iran has sponsored & orchestrated terror against Israel & the U.S. for decades. Iran is the primary obstacle to regional peace. No Iran = no Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, or Oct. 7. The barrage of missiles today makes their malign intent crystal clear. I strongly condemn this attack & fully support @POTUS & @VP’s ongoing efforts to counter the Iranian threat."
