Mast Suggests Intelligence Leak Stems from Biden Official

The political world is in disarray after a leak regarding U.S. intelligence on an Israeli strike in Iran. The leak has led to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Pentagon, and other intelligence agencies joining forces to investigate the U.S. intelligence breach. Commenting on the intelligence leak, Florida Rep. Brian Mast (R) suggested that it could've come from a Biden-Harris Administration official.

The leaks in question concern documents from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency. The documents were dated October 16th, and they held highly classified information.

Screenshots of the documents were first published on a Telegram account linked to Iran, and they circulated across social media. The screenshots showed descriptions of Israel's possible plans to attack Iran, which included aircraft and munitions that could be used.

During an appearance on FOX News, Rep. Mast discussed the leaks, suggesting that they could've come from a Biden-Harris official because of previous instances where government officials have been compromised.

“We know that we had in the past Robert Malley, Chief envoy to Iran, lost security clearance," Rep. Mast shared. "I know for a fact, as we speak, there is a senior DOD advisor that was working for an Iranian influence campaign, that was working on behalf of Iran, to successfully influence American diplomats, working in the DOD," he added.

Rep. Mast went on to cite other instances where officials were working against the United States, mentioning members of UNRA that were working with Hamas, and members of UNIFIL working with Hezbollah.

“There are a lot of leaks in these ships, and it’s hard to say exactly where it’s coming from, but we know that it’s coming from somewhere," he concluded.

On Monday, the Biden Administration quickly commented on the leak, condemning it.

“We’re deeply concerned, and the president remains deeply concerned, about any leakage of classified information into the public domain,” said John Kelly, the White House national security spokesperson.
