Kat Cammack-I started ringing the alarm on FEMA using money for illegals instead of Americans years ago. Every legislative attempt we made to fix this was blocked or died in a continuing resolution.

Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick-I joined Haitian American community leaders in Miami to support the strong Haitian community in Florida and nationwide. Immigrants make our country strong and better. Their lives are not a political game, and they deserve leaders who see their humanity.

Ron DeSantis-Since I have been governor, Florida has become a model for the nation when it comes to secure, well-administered elections. Like the 2022 election after Hurricane Ian, this upcoming election will not be disrupted by Hurricane Helene.

In those counties most drastically affected—Charlotte, Dixie, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lee, Levy, Madison, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Sarasota, and Taylor—I am authorizing Supervisors of Elections to establish alternative early voting sites if any were rendered unusable by the storm, ensure that displaced voters can request a vote-by-mail ballot at their new location, and allow state employees to serve as poll workers without using annual leave time.

All actions taken by Supervisors of Elections in impacted counties will be required to ensure voting remains safe, secure, and accessible only to eligible citizens.
