Florida Republicans Condemn Iranian Missile Attack on Israel, Shooting in Tel Aviv

The Islamic Republic of Iran has launched approximately 100 missiles against Israel in retaliation for the IDF's assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah right as a mass shooting in Jaffa, near Tel Aviv, killed eight. Several Florida Republicans condemned the attacks and reaffirmed their support for the Jewish State on X (formerly Twitter).

Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) attacked the Biden-Harris Administration's continued concessions to Iran in his post, reminding users that "Four years ago, Iran was weak, broke, and powerless. Today, after years of appeasement from the Biden-Harris admin that has given it access to billions of dollars, we watch in horror as the evil Iranian regime terrorizes Israel with waves of missile attacks. The U.S. must stand strongly with Israel, give it everything it needs to respond, and be clear that Iran will pay dearly for these attacks."

Representative Mike Waltz (R-FL) similarly condemned President Biden and Vice President Harris, saying their "de-escalation" strategy has resulted in just the opposite. Why? Appeasement ALWAYS invites aggression. 4 years ago, Trump was signing the Abraham Accords. Now this," a point he had made just the day before during an appearance on Fox Business.

Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) did not attack the Biden-Harris Administration in his post, instead emphasizing the cruelty of Iran's indiscriminate attacks, saying, "The terror reigning down on Israel is unjustified and unacceptable. Iran has persistently spread violence in the Middle East to the detriment of all of its neighbors and its own citizens. America stands with Israel in this battle of Good versus Evil."

Rep. Gaetz also issued a "God bless and watch over Israel" in response to footage of the Jaffa shooting that killed eight and injured at least seven others, which the Times of Israel reported was conducted by two gunmen who were "neutralized" by Israeli police.

Representative Brian Mast (R-FL), like Gaetz, condemned the indiscriminate nature of Iran's retaliatory missile strike, emphasizing how the Israeli Defense Forces "targeted Hezbollah TERRORISTS with precision strikes. Iran responds by launching rockets at innocent civilians."

"Everyone should condemn this brazen assault on innocent lives by Tehran. But something tells me that the ICC and UN will remain silent," Rep. Mast added, indirectly condemning the International Criminal Court and the United Nations for their anti-Israel bias.

Finally, Representative Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL) posted, "As Iranian rockets rain down, the U.S. remains unwavering in our support for Israel, their right to self-defense & the victims impacted. The U.S. & our allies must act swiftly to help shoot down these missiles from Iran. We stand with our strongest ally in the Middle East!"
