Florida Democratic State Candidates run for office, and the Justice System?

Share

As Floridians are only a month away from helping elect the 47th President of the United States, national Democrats continue to drive the narrative that former President Donald Trump is a “convicted criminal” in hopes that branding the former president as a common, corrupt criminal will dissuade enough voters to vote against his reelection campaign.

Democrats also want to paint President Trump as a tax cheat.

But who are the real criminals?

In Florida, there is a small bunch of Democrat state candidates for elected office who appear to have their own questionable past, including run-ins with the po-po, or law enforcement, and for having some unpaid taxes.

Just who are these upstanding Florida Democrats with checkered pasts?

Maria Revelles—House District 47

According to public records, Revelles not only has failed to pay her bills, but she appears to still have an outstanding tax bill in New York State.

Here is a rundown on Revelles debt and tax woes:

—2012: Didn’t Pay Her Credit Card Bill in New York and Was Ordered to Pay $2,600

—2012: Was court-ordered to Pay $5,114 to Credit Acceptance Corporation for not paying her car note.

—2012: Ordered to Pay Over $3,100 to Tritex Real Estate Advisors

—2024: As of August 2024, Revelles is still listed of owing $623.32 in taxes

Records Show Revelles still owes outstanding taxes in New York State

2024: Public records also show that Revelles is still a homeowner in Syracuse, NY, and owes over $12,000 in property taxes.

2024: Revelles also appears to owe $1,200 to her Home Owners Association (HOA) in Florida.

Rep. Tom Keen (D) recently campaigned with Revelles.

Kelly Johnson—HD 57

Oh boy, Johnson appears to take the cake when it comes to the amount of apparent and questionable past incidents.

According to public records, Johnson’s colorful past looks like a pot of crazy town gold at the end of a rainbow. The Rap Sheet:

6/17/20 - Resisting Arrest

2/20/20 - Petit Theft

5/29/19 - Domestic Battery - Hitting live-in boyfriend

9/24/18 - Domestic Stalking

1/19/15 - Driving with a suspended license, providing a false name to law enforcement

5/17/10 - Aggravated battery with a deadly weapon

4/16/08 - Grand Theft Auto Felony

Andi Poli—HD 84

Poli appears to be another Democrat with a pot of potential criminal gold at the end of her rainbow, or at the end of a bar.
Poli was arrested and convicted of driving under the influence twice between 2002 and 2004.

It also appears as if Poli was also arrested for DUI in Illinois a few years prior to the 2004 arrest.

1998: Poli was convicted of issuing a worthless check and sentenced to six months of probation.

Jim Brenner —HD 100

—2022— Brenner was hit with a small claims complaint by Bank of America for failing to pay a $25,128.60 unpaid credit card bill. Fortunately for Brenner, the case was shelved after the complaint could not be delivered.

Aside from the complaint, Brenner was issued a municipal lien of $3,331.42 when he lived in Massachusetts.

Matthew Bornstein— HD 114

One thing is to be accused of being a deadbeat for not paying ones bill, or getting arrested for drinking to much, but being accused of striking someone, let alone a woman, is really shady.

In 2014, Bornstein allegedly assaulted a woman by picking her up and slamming her to the ground, according to police (PBSO Case# 14082102)

Also, police were forced to intervene in a serious verbal altercation between Bornstein and his brother, Francis Lezcano, in 2018

Lastly, we have Michael Travis— HD 120

In March 2023, Payday Motors filed a small claims complaint against Travis, demanding $12,793.71 in principal debts, $4,034.29 in interest, and $1,919.06 in interest, for a total claim of $18,747.06.The complaint is still active. It appears as if Travis cannot be found for service.

Election day is November 5. Vote wisely.
