Earlier this month, the Trump campaign, the Republican National Committee (RNC), and the Republican Party of Arizona joined forces to create an election integrity team. The team, led by Harmeet Dhillon, an American lawyer and Republican Party official, would “stop Democrat interference and secure Arizona’s elections.” Over the weekend, the Trump campaign announced an “election integrity” win in Michigan, citing freer and fairer elections in the battleground state.

The RNC, Republican Party of Michigan, and chairs of the Wayne County Republican committee announced this weekend that they had secured a major win in the name of election integrity. Through working with the Election Commission of the City of Detroit, the city has agreed to make changes to its processes and protocols, and they will now hire at least one Republican poll worker in each location and an equal number of Republican poll workers, as nearly as possible, in each location for the upcoming election.

Michael Whatley, the Chairman of the RNC, released a statement, thanking the Michigan GOP for its continued effort to ensure “that Republican poll workers will be allocated to all voting locations.” Whatley cited this as a win for election integrity, explaining that “this will bring much-needed transparency and accountability to Detroit’s election system and ensure that a more equal number of Republicans and Democrats work Detroit’s polls.”

“Our election integrity operation will continue to fight and win for our country’s most important election,” he said.

According to a new Wall Street Journal (WSJ) poll, Vice President Kamala Harris (D) is up by two points in Michigan. The poll, which surveyed 600 registered voters in each of the battleground states, took place between September 28th and October 8th.

In Michigan, President Donald Trump (R) currently has 47% to Vice President Harris’ 49% in support. However, President Trump overall leads Vice President Harris with 46%-45%.
