Death, Chaos, and Destruction: Rubio Slams Iran for Attack on Israel

Share

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) has released a statement following the attack on Israel by Iran in various cities such as Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. These attacks have furthered escalations in the Middle East, possibly setting the world stage closer to global warfare.

In his statement, Sen. Rubio described Iran's ploy as an effort to terrorize the region through "death, chaos, and ultimately the complete destruction of Israel," and that appeasement is no longer an option.

“Iran’s brutal missile attack on Israeli civilians reinforces what we have always known: the terrorist Iranian regime seeks to dominate the Middle East through death, chaos, and ultimately the complete destruction of Israel," said Sen. Rubio. "This regime can no longer be appeased."

He continued, calling for a "maximum pressure campaign" toward the largest state sponsor of terrorism and confirmed his loyalty to Israel.

"I urge the reimposition of a maximum pressure campaign against Iran and fully support Israel’s right to respond disproportionately to stop this threat. The United States will continue to stand with Israel," said Sen. Rubio.

Two weeks ago, Rubio commented on the report from the U.S. Inspector General's office which the Biden-Harris administration of mishandled the suspension of the U.S. Special Envoy to Iran, Rob Malley.

"This Inspector General’s report is clear that the Biden-Harris Administration failed to protect our national security interests by allowing Rob Malley to allegedly engage in classified conversations following his suspension over mishandling classified materials. For months, we’ve tried to get to the bottom of whether or not the State Department complied with all the appropriate laws, procedures, and regulations following Malley’s suspension. It’s clear they did not," said the Florida senator.

He added that the findings of the report have been "deeply disturbing" and that with Iran as a fierce adversary, the Biden-Harris administration cannot be trusted with American security.

"It’s deeply disturbing that an individual with a suspended security clearance retained access to our nation’s sensitive and controlled information as well as to senior U.S. government officials. This scathing OIG report, and the fact that Malley currently remains under FBI investigation, is further proof that the Biden-Harris Administration can’t be trusted to safeguard American security and protect us from those who seek to destroy America like the regime in Tehran," concluded Rubio.

We are less than a week away from the one-year anniversary of the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel.
