Scott Connects Democrats to Communists, Authoritarians: Dems 'Have a Dictator Problem'

Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) appeared on Fox Business's “Mornings with Maria” to discuss the prospect of Democrats working (or at least sympathizing) with communists and authoritarians – both directly and indirectly – to further each other’s agendas. This talking point has reappeared after an aide to both former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) and current Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) was charged last week with acting as an agent of the Chinese government.

According to the Associated Press, the agent Linda Sun “used her state positions to subtly advance Beijing’s agenda in exchange for financial benefits worth millions of dollars.” This included blocking Taiwanese representatives from accessing the governor’s office and favoring the Chinese government.

Sen. Scott addressed this, saying Democrats have a “dictator problem” in front of them, and working with the Chinese will only lead to American demise.

The Democrat Party has a Communist China, Iran – basically has a dictator problem. They're okay with appeasement of Xi and China, even though China wants to destroy your way of life. Think about what China's doing right now: they’re sending fentanyl across the border to kill over 70,000 Americans a year,” said Sen. Scott. “They’re lying about everything about the economy, as far as trade deals, everything so to kill your family's job, they're taking your dollars when you buy their crap, and build a military with the whole goal to stop all freedom around the world. They’ll start with Taiwan. But they're not going to stop there. They don't like our freedoms.”

He continued by mentioning that Democrats’ foreign policy appeasements have led to the lack of peace around the world in both East Asia and the Middle East.

“And then, the same Democrats want to appease Iran. that's why we have the Houthis, Hamas, and Hezbollah attacking Israel. Then they don't do anything to hold Maduro accountable in Venezuela, Díaz-Canel accountable, Ortega accountable in Latin America. So, the Democrat party's got a dictator problem starts with Xi and Communist China. They’ve completely infiltrated the Democrat Party with all these appeasers for dictators including Xi,” concluded Scott.

The Florida senator is attempting to defend his seat against former Congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D-FL) in November.
