New Poll Shows Trump With 7-Point Lead Over Harris

Share

On the eve of the presidential debate, a new poll shows dwindling support for one candidate. Despite star studded fundraising events, SportsHandle reports that President Donald Trump (R) has a 7-point lead over Vice President Kamala Harris (D). From the southern border to the withdrawal from Afghanistan, lawmakers and voters alike have commented that the November 5th election will be decided on numerous factors, including "leadership."

SportsHandle, a website dedicated to providing information on the legal U.S. sports betting industry, aggregates data from diverse odds providers. Through the process of aggregation, it ensures that a comprehensive and balanced perspective regarding the election forecast.

The aggregation conducted by SportsHandle has President Trump in the lead with 55.84% while Vice President Harris has 48.68%.

In a statement, Ben Mendelowitz, the Digital PR Manager for SportsHandle, commented on the findings, suggesting that the Harris campaign is losing support.

“The way Kamala Harris’ odds continue to slide suggests that the ‘post-Biden buff’ may have dissipated," Mendelowitz detailed. "Following from the joint Harris-Walz CNN interview, Harris’ odds have seen a bit of a dip in the wake of mixed reactions."

The CNN interview came after months of scrutiny from Republicans who questioned why Vice President Harris had not address the American people through an interview. Even then, the interview was alongside Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz (D), so conservatives further questioned the move to not conduct a solo interview.

Mendelowitz also noted that "Trump's odds weren’t hurt following the Arlington cemetery, in fact shortening following the widely reported incident." "It’s still all to play for heading into the debate however, with the favor seemingly leaning towards Harris given her career background.”

Both Vice President Harris and President Trump will meet on the debate stage tomorrow in Pennsylvania. So far, the debate is the only scheduled debate between the two, and it is the first time that Vice President Harris is debating as a presidential candidate. President Trump previously debate President Joe Biden (D), which resulted in President Biden dropping out of the race.
