Senatorial hopeful and former Florida congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D) is currently traveling the state as part of her "75 Stop Tour." Almost a month after announcing her tour, Rep. Mucarsel-Powell is now celebrating a slew of mayoral endorsements.

In her bid to defeat Florida Senator Rick Scott (R), the former Florida congresswoman is traveling the sunshine state to make her case to Floridians as to why voters need to oust the former governor from the senate. The odds are against her as the state of Florida has grown more Republican since Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) stepped into office. However, according to the Mucarsel-Powell campaign, the race is too close to call.

The senatorial hopeful has now received numerous mayoral endorsements ranging from Miami-Dade County to Fort Lauderdale and beyond, and all the endorsers believe that her campaign has what it takes to defeat Senator Scott on November 5th.

Rep. Mucarsel-Powell began her "75 Stop Tour" in Miami-Dade County. Former Florida Rep. Donna Shalala (D) and Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins joined her on stage. Though Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava was noticeably absent from the event, she has now endorsed Rep. Mucarsel Powell in her campaign for the Senate.

In a statement, Mayor Levine Cava shared that “As a member of Congress, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell worked to bring federal funds to our state to restore our coral reefs and the Everglades, invest in the resiliency of our coastal communities, and protect our economic industries."

“Having worked with Debbie for years, I know she will be a fighter for all Floridians in the Senate and will always come to the table to deliver for Florida," she continued.

Orlando Mayor Jerry Demings, Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Tantralis, and Tallahassee Mayor John Dailey also endorsed Rep. Mucarsel-Powell.

Senator Scott has dismissed Rep. Mucarsel-Powell's campaign, dubbing her a "silly socialist" in a recent advertisement.
