Vice President Kamala Harris upcoming visit to the southern border in Arizona was mocked by Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) in a recent appearance on Fox Business's Kudlow, where she said, "she is simply using this as a talking point."
Republicans have repeatedly called out Harris's flip-flop on the ongoing border crisis, which has evidently been motivated by increasing support for former President Donald Trump's more stringent policies.
"What I can also tell you about Kamala Harris, the only reason that she is actually going to the border is because even her own party, independents and Democrats, are saying that the crisis she created is something that is unsustainable," said Rep. Luna.
Additionally, the Florida Congresswoman noted that despite Harris being a minority woman, "You know what she has done for [Latina women] and children that have been trafficked? She has done nothing. She is not actually going to fix the problem. If she did, she would have started four years ago when she was placed in charge. She is simply using this as a political talking point."
Moreover, Rep. Luna pointed to the "infiltration" of the infamous Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua in New York City and the influx of illegal aliens entering the city, which cost taxpayers "over $12 billion, so we need to have someone who is aggressive and tough on border security. That is exactly why we are going to be supporting President Trump."
Host Larry Kudlow spoke with Representative Scott Perry (R-PA) about the financial costs of illegal immigration before coming back to Luna about sanctuary cities effectively enabling and incentivizing the border crisis, which gangs such as Tren de Aragua are taking advantage of.
"Sanctuary cities are, I would argue, even unconstitutional. What I will also say, because no one is talking about this, is the impact that this is having on the very poor black and Hispanic communities in these inner cities. To be clear, these gangs are going to cause race wars. The left is causing this, Kamala Harris wants this, and it is going to give blood of Americans on her hands if you do not fix that," Luna concluded.
