Laurel Lee Shames Biden-Harris Administration, Boasts House GOP's Record

Representative Laurel Lee (R-FL) released a statement on social media regarding her past, present, and potential future efforts in the House of Representatives. The Florida legislator spoke on the work that congressional Republicans have done during President Joe Biden’s (D) administration.

But first, Rep. Lee blasted the Biden-Harris White House for a multitude of woes that the American people have faced since taking office.

“Over the last three and a half years, the American people have not been able to catch a break. The price of everything from gas to groceries has skyrocketed to the highest point in decades,” said Rep. Lee. “The American dream of homeownership has become unattainable for most hard-working Americans, violent crime has surged, and the world remains in a state of constant chaos. Each of these crises is the direct result of the extreme and unrealistic policies of the Biden-Harris administration. The American people have had enough.”

Furthermore, Rep. Lee attempted to combat the notion that the right side of the aisle hasn’t been able to achieve any progress despite the Democratic Party holding both the Senate and the Oval Office.

“House Republicans are working harder than ever to deliver on our commitment to America, an economy that's strong, a nation that's safe, a future that's built on freedom, and a government that's accountable,” said Lee.

Finally, the Florida congresswoman added that House Republicans have been tough in regard to foreign policy in an “America First” approach.

“My colleagues and I secured the largest deficit reduction bill in history. Passed strong sanctions and policies to counter Iran, Communist China, and Russia, restored congressional oversight, and implemented reforms to bolster the security of our elections nationwide. Our work is not finished yet. I will continue to fight for common-sense solutions that put Floridians and Americans first,” concluded Lee.

The freshman representative faces Hillsborough County Commissioner Pat Kemp (D) for her seat in the U.S. Congress. They will square off on Nov. 5 for District 15.
