Florida Recovers From Hurricane Helene at a Fever Pitch

Gov. Ron DeSantis has mobilized Florida's massive storm recovery efforts and it's paying off. Just days after Hurricane Helene storm made landfall, Gov. DeSantis announced that over 2.3 million people have had their power restored, adding that 99% of the state now has power. There are still 111k that are out of power but at this rate, residents without power should have the lights back on shortly. The state is recovering from the storm at a record pace.

In addition, Gov. DeSantis has deployed Air National Guard assets to help North Carolina in rescuing those trapped in remote mountain areas.

Florida keeps winning even after a massive storm hits.

Also, Senator Rick Scott has also been on the ground helping citizens affected by Hurricane Helene at the federal level. READ MORE

AG Ashley Moody-Following heavy winds and flooding from #Helene, uprooted trees can litter roadways and yards. Consider the following tips when hiring a tree removal service:

Be cautious of anyone who approaches unsolicited about tree removal work

Get multiple, written estimates before selecting a company’s service

Never pay the full amount upfront

Teams will provide assistance to those who need it a long the way. Here’s a team helping a resident fortify their home.

Wilton Simpson-Our chainsaw teams are working around the clock to ensure families, farmers and businesses can regain access to impacted areas following the storm. Many of them are dealing with personal impacts at this time and still putting their neighbors first. Grateful for all they do!
