Category 4 Hurricane Helene Hits Florida

Hurricane Helene hit Florida or made landfall at 11:10pm in the Big Bend region at about 25mph.

The Floridian's Liv Caputo sheltered in place in Tallahassee where she reported her power went out around 10 pm with phone service being "super crazy spotty. She kept us up to speed until apparently her phone service gave out.,

10:40 pm—

Weirdly, I have friends by the airport and by campus who are talking about how “boring” it is so far.

Even though I’m still without power and rain is really starting to pick up here (I’m in north Tallahassee)

Now that the eye wall has hit steinhatchee, etc, and landfall is imminent, weather is getting worse

Also my cell service is getting really spotty so idk how many more of these are going to go through
