Harris Receives Conservative Criticism for Wearing Earphones on Tarmac

Share

Vice President Kamala Harris (D) is receiving some blowback from conservatives after wearing earphones while exiting the VP motorcade and entering Air Force Two, alleging she did so to avoid questions from the press.

For instance, former congressional candidate and investigative journalist Laura Loomer commented on the event, poking fun at VP Harris' wired earphones and not electing to go wireless.

“Wow Kamala Harris is so disrespectful,” said Loomer. “She’s using headphones to avoid talking to the media and doesn’t even show respect to our service men and women. How unprofessional. Also, she wears a $70,000 Tiffany necklace. Can home girl not afford some air pods?”

It is possible there are security concerns with wireless headphones due to the increased vulnerability of Bluetooth connections. She has not spoken to the media since her recorded interview alongside her running mate, Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) on CNN last week, but other than that instance, it has been weeks since VP Harris has taken a substantial amount of questions.

Furthermore, Representative Wesley Hunt (R-TX) took a jab at VP Harris as well, calling the move from her a “new low” in campaign presence.

“She’s so brat she pretends to listen to her favorite playlist to avoid answering unscripted questions from press. Biden had an excuse, because he didn’t know where he is. But this… even this is a new low in optics,” said Rep. Hunt.

Recently, the Texas congressman shared his belief that Harris doesn’t deserve a promotion to the White House after the last three and a half years of the Biden-Harris administration.

Rep. Hunt warned that "at any moment a full-scale war in [the] Middle East could break out." He added that "the market is crashing" and "$5 trillion in wealth has been wiped out in a day and a half. Imagine giving Kamala Harris a promotion for this.”

The American people will have the agency to decide who will be their next President of the United States on Nov. 5.
