HOLLYWOOD, FL—This week, President Donald Trump (R) and Vice President Kamala Harris (D) will take to the debate stage to speak in front of the world. The debate, which will air on ABC, is the second presidential debate that President Trump takes part in. In contrast, it’s the first debate that Vice President Harris takes part in since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee. As the November 5th voting day looms closer, Florida Rep. Byron Donalds (R) argues that this election is about the “leadership” the U.S. needs.
In an exclusive interview with The Floridian, Rep. Donalds commented on the presidential election, expressing that Democrats have disappointed the American people.
“They [Democrats] really have just completely not followed the law,” the Florida Republican commented. “They’ve abandoned this country. They’ve abandoned the people of our nation.”
Not one to shy away from speaking, Rep Donalds argued that Vice President Harris being elected would not change anything.
“She can say whatever she wants, which is not much by the way,” he said. “She can do an ad next to Trump’s border wall, but if she is in charge, nothing will change because the radical left Democrats, which she is a part of by the way, this is what they’ve wanted the entire time.”
Last month, Vice President amassed some controversy after her campaign released an advertisement depicter her as being tough on the border. However, the advertisement showcased footage from the border wall that President Trump’s Administration worked on building, and this led to voters questioning if Vice President Harris had changed her stance on President Trumps’ border wall.
“They don’t care who comes into the country,” Rep. Donalds warned.
“What we have seen is Venezuela, El Salvador, other countries, they have emptied their jails, and those people have come here to the United States, wreaking havoc against our citizenry,” he added.
“We need leadership.”
