Defiant Trump Vows to Continue Fighting After Second Assassination Attempt

Share

Former President Donald Trump is showing relentless defiance after suffering a second assassination attempt in less than 3 months.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) confirmed yesterday they are investigating the Secret Service’s foiling an attempt on the former president’s life.

President Trump, who assured followers of his safety, has published several statements underscoring his ironclad commitment to fighting for the presidency.

“When you’re “hot” the lowlifes really shoot at you... and they try hitting from every angle! Never let the bastards get you down,” reads Trump’s latest X post.

Conservatives and progressives alike have condemned the event.

Trump’s would-be assassin, Ryan Wesley Routh, was prevented from executing Trump when secret service discovered him aiming a scoped AK-47 at Trump from the bushes of Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.

According to recent reports, Routh was an avid Biden and Ukraine supporter.

Routh actively recruited foreign fighters to Ukraine and visited the country various times, stating his primary goal was to "come and fight in Ukraine", but as a "plan B", he turned to recruiting foreign fighters for the war effort.

While Routh’s motivation remains ambiguous, there’s a possibility it could be connected to Trump’s stance on the Russia-Ukraine war.

When asked if he wanted Ukraine to win against Russia during the last debate, Trump merely responded he wanted to see the fighting end.

Meanwhile, conservatives have called on Democrats to diminish their vicious rhetoric against Trump, claiming they are radicalizing Democrat supporters.

US Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) shifted blame for the assassination attack to progressive media and Democrats.

“It’s abundantly clear there are violent people who are willing to do anything to keep President Trump from the White House,” said Senator Scott. “The media and radical left need to immediately stop this dangerous and senseless rhetoric.”

Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is seeking answers from the federal government as to how Routh was not stopped prior to getting within shooting range from Trump

“Experts warned this would happen again,” said Representative Gaetz. “We need to know why this keeps happening!”

On their end, President Joe Biden and leading Democrats have supported Trump and thanked Secret Service personnel for maintaining his safety.
