AFP Action Florida Issues Four New Endorsements Before General Election

Share

The Americans for Prosperity (AFP) Action Florida has announced a new wave of endorsements for candidates participating in the election on Nov. 5. After congratulating 11 of its endorsed candidates who emerged victorious in their primary races on Aug. 20, AFP Action Florida has endorsed four new candidates for the general election, making an overall total of 43 candidates supported this cycle.

“In the final weeks leading up to November, AFP Action FL’s grassroots army will continue to create awareness at the doors, on the phones, and through our mail campaigns to advocate for these principled leaders,” said AFP Action Florida Senior Advisor Skylar Zander. “We’re excited to support these individuals, along with dozens of others, to ensure promises to keep Florida free, improve our economy, health care, and to create more educational opportunities for all Florida students are delivered.”

The organization claims to be a grassroots campaign “committed to electing candidates who will drive policy change and facilitate the building of broad policy coalitions that remove barriers to opportunity and help people improve their lives.”

Here are their new endorsements and introductions, courtesy of AFP Action Florida:

Jon Albert (HD-48): As a former Marine and Mayor, Jon Albert has the leadership skills needed to serve Florida's House District 48. Jon knows how important it is to cut taxes to provide relief to his constituents which he did as Mayor. He'll work on cutting taxes and keeping our budget under control in the Florida House, which is a stark difference from the out-of-control spending in Washington D.C.

State Rep. Doug Bankson (HD-39): Rep. Bankson in just one term has shown what it takes to work with other members to achieve lasting policy change. Rep. Bankson will continue to champion educational freedom for all Florida students. He'll work to cut red tape so Florida businesses and individuals can thrive.

State Rep. Dean Black (HD-15): Having just one term under his belt, Rep. Black has been instrumental in Florida’s legislature. He has stood for educational opportunities for Florida’s learners, supported workers’ freedom, and is expected to be a policy champion for needed tax and spending reforms once re-elected.

State Rep. Vicki Lopez (HD-113): Rep. Lopez is the best choice for District 113 as she continues to put the education and safety of Floridians first. In office, she has supported telehealth legislation to expand opportunities in the health care market. And, through Rep. Lopez’s personal story she has become a thoughtful voice on criminal justice reform supporting second chance legislation.
