Waltz Calls Harris 'A Fake, But a Dangerous One'

Share

Vice President Kamala Harris has sought to portray herself as being tough on the border, which many Republicans have called false and hypocritical. Representative Mike Waltz (R-FL) gave extended thoughts on this apparent flip-flopping by the Harris campaign in a recent appearance on Fox News, calling her "a fake, but she is a dangerous one."

Rep. Waltz also pointed to Harris's apparent theft of the "no tax on tips" policy first proposed by former President Donald Trump and the controversy surrounding her running mate, Governor Tim Walz's (D-MN) military record.

"I think the Wall Street Journal is absolutely right," said Rep. Waltz, mistakenly attributing an article by the New York Post to the Journal about Harris's changing policy positions, "She is going to say or do or pretend to do anything it takes to stay into power. But at the end of the day, she is a far-left progressive. The border is a disaster; the withdrawal from Afghanistan, all the way to this wide-open border, and hundreds of thousands dead from fentanyl every year. She owns it, period, and the American people are going to see right through it."

The Florida Congressman reiterated the policies of President Trump that "actually worked," such as Remain in Mexico, Title 42, or forcing the Mexican government to post their military at its southern border.

"President Trump has real policies that work and will continue to work. Harris is just a fake, but a dangerous one," Waltz continued.

The conversation shifted to the apparent attempts by friendly media to "reinvent" Harris and her policies. Host Harris Faulkner referred to a recent interview with Trump's running mate, Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), with ABC News, in which they disputed Harris's record as "border czar."

"This is Soviet-style propaganda, and we are watching it in real time," said Waltz, echoing previous comments by Republicans accusing the media of rewriting Vice President Harris's record ahead of November, concluding with a call for the Trump campaign "to do as many debates with her as possible. The job of all of us and the media is to tease her out and actually have her speak off the top of her head to show everything that she does not know."
