Asif Merchant, an illegal alien from Pakistan that was allowed into the country in April, was recently arrested for plotting to assassinate public figures, including former President Donald Trump, on behalf of Iran. The event resurged fears of terrorists entering the United States, biding their time to strike. Representative Cory Mills (R-FL) declared that "we absolutely have terror cells in America" in a recent appearance on Fox Business's Varney & Co., throwing in a jab at President Biden as the Mexican drug cartels' "employee of the month."
"We have had an open border for almost four years that has had hundreds of people on the terrorist watch list come across and tens of millions of others. Not to mention the fact that the border czar, as approved by the Biden Administration, Kamala Harris, was the border czar responsible for this very thing," Rep. Mills added.
Moreover, the Florida Congressman suggested that nefarious actors such as Iran, Russia, the cartels, and other crime organizations are taking advantage now because they "know that President Trump will shut the border and impact their revenue stream where Biden has been [their] employee of the month at +$13 billion in revenue. Of course, there are terror cells here in the United States as a result of a failed administration and the inability under [Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro] Mayorkas to be able to secure our borders."
Host Stuart Varney glumly noted, "We cannot do anything about it because we do not know where they are."
"We have catch and release in this country, Varney, and people who are unable and unwilling to enforce the laws that are on the books, which is a violation of the take care clause of the Constitution," Mills concluded sharply.
Earlier this week, Mills' colleague and fellow combat veteran Representative Mike Waltz (R-FL) similarly warned that a terror attack on American soil perpetrated by illegal aliens is only a matter of time.
"We are going to get hit. We are all watching it happen in real time, and the blood is on Biden's hands, Harris's hands, and Mayorkas' hands," Rep. Waltz said.
