Gaetz Introduces Bill to Allow Compensation for Victims of Illegal Alien Crime

The ongoing border crisis under the Biden-Harris Administration has led to a crime wave in the United States perpetrated by illegal aliens, with many American citizens harmed. Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has introduced a bill giving victims some relief in the form of compensation.

Rep. Gaetz's bill, known as the "Allocating Liability to Illegal Entrants in National Courts" (ALIEN) Act, would authorize Federal judges to award damages to victims of crimes perpetrated by illegal aliens.

"The Biden-Harris administration has let in millions of illegals and created a migrant crime epidemic. My legislation, the ALIEN Act, will give federal judges, the ability to award restitution to Americans who are victims of harm to person or property from illegals. Americans deserve the possibility of compensation for the pain they endured," said Rep. Gaetz in his press release.

At the beginning of the year, Representative Laurel Lee (R-FL) viciously condemned the ongoing border crisis as the deliberate work of President Biden and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, saying more laws were unnecessary, only the enforcement of existing ones.

"We do not need more laws. We need a president of the United States and a Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security who enforce the laws of this country. But what do we have instead? An administration that has deliberately subverted the duly enacted laws of the United States of America, that have deliberately defied the orders of courts in the United States of America who have ordered and directed that they desist these unlawful policies," Rep. Lee fumed.

2024 has seen several high-profile cases of crimes perpetrated by illegal aliens that have exemplified the toll of the border crisis. In February, University of Georgia student Laken Riley was murdered by a Venezuelan national named Jose Ibarra, suspected of having ties to the infamous Tren de Aragua prison gang.

In June, two other illegal aliens from Venezuela murdered 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray in Houston, Texas, which was fiercely condemned by Representative Cory Mills (R-FL) during an appearance on Fox Business's Cavuto Coast to Coast, where he said, "The amount of Angel Families that are continuing to compile as a result of these failed border policies as a result of this week, soft-on-crime, catch-and-release, no bail reform under the Biden Administration is really encouraging criminal activity and terrorizing our communities."

June also saw a horrific rape case of a 13-year-old girl by an illegal alien from Ecuador, who threatened her with a machete and filmed himself committing the act in New York City. Local citizens detained the offender before handing him over to the authorities.
