As The Floridian's Daniel Molina noted, the primary between Rep. Gaetz and his opponent Aaron Dimmock was notably vicious, with the fiery Florida Congressman labeling Dimmock as "DEI Dimmock" for his apparent support for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Dimmock was equally ruthless, recently reminding Gaetz of his former ties to convicted sex trafficker Joel Greenberg, saying on X (formerly Twitter), "Matt, who are your associates again?" However, Gaetz was proven to be a victim of extortion by unearthed documents.

Publisher Javier Manjarres provided greater detail into the campaign of former FBI agent Chris Eddy, who as noted defeated Bryan Leib with 65% of the vote. While Wasserman Schultz has the cash advantage, her support for the policies of President Biden and Kamala Harris may turn voters off, potentially swaying moderate Democrats to the side of Eddy, who chose not to run as a "MAGA" Republican.
