Homebuilder Minto Communities USA may be trying to exact a little payback against individuals on the Indian Trail Improvement District (ITID) board after losing a lawsuit it filed to be able to use Palm Beach County roads to help build one of their communities.
Over the past several months, and according to the Florida Division of Elections, Minto appears to have given two Florida political committees—Florida First Initiative and Building Florida’s Future—$100,000 to run possibly run negative campaign against several members of the ITID leadership team.

Notice the required political disclaimer on the mailers. It clearly states that Building Florida's Future committee paid for the advertisement.
Coincidentally (are their coincidences in politics?), both political committees are run by the same office in Tallahassee, which subsequently made “advertising” payments to a consulting firm just days before the mail pieces in question were sent out.
Aside from sending out the political mailers, Building Florida’s Future PC set up a website targeting the ITID, stating that the board was “woefully mismanaging” the district and that they “could just keep raising” taxes, adding,” The entire board is unfit to lead our community.”
