Salazar Claims Hispanics Will Support GOP in Elections as New Polls Demonstrate Trump Gains Amongst Minorities

Recent polls are reporting President Donald Trump is making significant popularity gains amongst Latino voters.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), National Post (NP), and other news outlets have reported President Trump's increasing in popularity, not just with Latinos, but also with blacks and other minority groups.

WSJ analysts are claiming Trump’s immigration and economic policies have attracted a diverse electorate, with striking gains in the Latino community.

According to the WSJ, Trump has earned more Latino support than any conservative candidate in the last 20 years.

Representative Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL), the daughter of Cuban exiles, commented on the growing trend and claimed it will materialize for the GOP’s benefit come Election Day.

“The GOP embodies the core values of the Hispanic community: hard-working, family-oriented, law-abiding, and God-fearing,” said Representative Salazar. “We are going to be voting GOP.”

Trump’s wave of support is not limited to Latinos as, according to the National Post, diverse minority groups are favoring a Trump presidency over Biden’s continuation.

Among blacks, Trump has reportedly doubled his support since his record-breaking performance in 2016.

Trump enjoys nearly 20% support from the black community, a significant number given black’s decades-long record of voting overwhelmingly Democrat.

Despite Trump’s gains with minorities, his supporters represent a minority within their respective demographics, with most minority voters supporting President Joe Biden.

The most disputed minority voting group is Hispanics, with the latest polls projecting 40% support for Trump.

Trump remains ahead of President Biden in general election polls.
