Share

**UPDATE--The Floridian has learned that the shooter is down.

Former President Donald Trump appears to have been shot in the right ear during Saturday's rally.

The shot appears to have come from the right side of the stage, and the former president was whisked away by Secret Service.

President Trump pumped his fist to the crowd as he was pushed into the waiting SUV.

"The Former President is Safe," stated the Secret Service

In a statement to The Floridian, Rep. Brian Mast, who heads Veterans for Trump, stated:

Those who hate America will stop at nothing to prevent President Trump from being reelected - even assassination.

We hear it from democrats in Congress daily how they hate, how they despise, Making America Great

The Trump campaign has responded to the shooting.

"President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow."— Steven Cheung, Trump spokesperson

Rep. Cory Mills:

- First they tried to silence him.

- Then they tried to imprison him.

- Now they try to kill him.

May God protect President Trump and keep him and his family in your prayers. America and the world need the President back in office
