Judge Aileen Cannon has dismissed the Prosecutor Jack Smith's documents case against former President Donald Trump.
The 93-page dismissal cites that Smith was not appointed by the President, nor was he confirmed by the U.S. Senate, an argument that President Trump has made.
Judge Cannon, who was appointed by President Trump has recently delayed the trial.
The decision comes off the heels of the attempted assassination of the former President last weekend.
