With Vice President Kamala Harris stepping into the spotlight as the Democratic Party nominee for the 2024 Election, the next 100 days will be crucial in shaping her image among the American people. In a recent appearance on Fox News's Sunday Morning Futures, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) warned of a potential "whitewashing" of Harris's record, anticipating a "blizzard of lies" that could significantly influence public perception over the summer.
"You know, the Biden-Harris policies put the Democratic Party in a very precarious situation this election, and then the debate where Biden- They tried to do the basement for three and a half years, and it was clear after that debate that was not going to happen. So, the media really worked hard to push Biden out. And now what you see is all the arteries of the left, the corporate media, Hollywood, [and] academia, they are using all the king's horses and all the king's men to try to put the Democratic Party back together again, and they have to whitewash Harris's background to make her palpable to the American people," said Gov. DeSantis.
Additionally, the Florida Governor suggested Harris, whom he dismissed as "incredibly vapid, even more incredibly liberal" who lacks accomplishments, "owns all the policies of the Biden-Harris Administration." However, one should expect "100 days of massive gaslighting from the corporate press."
After all, he noted the denial of Harris's role as "border czar" and the removal of her page from GovTrack as the "most liberal" Senator during her time in office, prompting host Maria Bartiromo to ask if misleading would continue until November.
"Oh, without question," Gov. DeSantis replied, "We are down here in Florida; it is hot in July; it will be hot in August, but you are going to see a blizzard of lies over the next few months. That is what it is going to be about. There is not going to be any pushback from the entrenched corporate media, and they are going to try to rewrite history, and they are going to try to present her as something that she is just not."
