Eight men from Tajikistan who illegally crossed the border are suspected of having ties to the Islamic State (ISIS) after law enforcement arrested them. Representatives Mike Waltz (R-FL) and Jason Crow (D-CO) discussed the arrests and the need for border security in a joint appearance on Fox News's America's Newsroom, even if they differed in stances on the bipartisan border deal and President Biden's recent executive order.

Rep. Crow began by commending the law enforcement officers who arrested the eight Tajiks before noting that "this just continues to underscore the need for us to take up the bipartisan border bill. We need to secure the border. The border is not where it needs to be. There is no doubt about that, and we need a comprehensive solution."

Additionally, the Colorado Congressman praised President Biden's recent executive order, "But now we need to fund that. He is limited in what he can do without Congressional action, and it is time for us to move the bipartisan deal forward."

Rep. Waltz similarly praised the law enforcement officials, yet the chance of a terror attack remains high.

After all, the Florida Congressman pointed out that FBI Director Christopher Wray has sounded the alarm on the number of terror threats the United States is facing, saying he wants to "tell Director Wray, 'You go talk to the [Department of Homeland Security] Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas and shut the border down."

As a result, Rep. Waltz expressed opposition to Crow's stance, noting the executive order and bipartisan border deal still allow for large numbers of illegal immigrants to enter the country.

"Respectfully, I disagree. Having an executive order that still allows 2,500 [crossings] a day or legislation that allows nearly 5,000 a day, that is nearly a million a year, across our border is unacceptable. We have to secure it before it is too late and we suffer another attack like Pulse Nightclub or, God forbid, another 9/11," Waltz concluded.
