Donalds Says Hip-Hop Artists are Saying 'No' to the Biden Agenda

Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) appeared on Benny Johnson’s “The Benny Show” to discuss the economic effects of President Joe Biden’s (D) tenure in office that those in the music industry – especially those in the hip-hop sphere – are feeling. The Florida representative was candid in his perspective that some of those in the hip-hop industry have a history of illegal activity, but now are attempting to make money in a legal way and are dealing with the consequences of “heavy inflation, taxation and regulation.”

“A lot of hip-hop artists come up out of the hood. And the number one thing is you hustle, you hustle hard. You do everything you can to try to make money for yourself, make money for your family. You know, there are times where a lot of them have done things that are illegal, and they had to pay that price. But they know what it is to be able to keep money in your pocket and trying to build something. And so right now they're trying to do that the positive way through music,” said Rep. Donalds.

He continued, “And then you have a reckless agenda like Joe Biden, who just wants to tax the heck out of you, wants to stop you from having a lot of our freedoms that you have in this country to create, to build. And they're saying no to that, like so many other Americans. I think this is why the left is so furious about what's happening in polling with different demographic groups because they think that everybody is just supposed to think the same based upon your race or based upon your culture or based upon your economic status. That's not true.

Rep. Donalds concluded, “Whether you're rich whether you're poor, whether you're black, whether you're white, you want a prosperous America, you want a strong America, you want an America that leads. And nobody's gonna get that job done like Donald J. Trump. We know Joe Biden's gonna get that job done. He sucks. We know this.”

Byron Donalds represents Florida’s 19th Congressional District. He has appeared on the shortlist as a potential VP on former President Donald Trump’s (R) ticket.
