Donalds Says Biden Cognitive State 'not a Good Look for This Country'

WASHINGTON—Florida Rep. Byron Donalds (R) called into question President Joe Biden's (D) leadership in the face of the world. During an exclusive interview with The Floridian, Rep. Donalds questioned President Biden's ability to lead the country, warning that it's "not a good look."

The president has taken part in some gaffs recently, and Republicans have increased their criticism of the president's cognitive ability as well as his ability to lead the country.

He's facing sinking numbers in the polls, and Vice President Kamala Harris (D) also finds herself with dwindling support as a recent Politico/Morning Consult poll indicates that 37% of voters believe she is not likely to win an election if she became the Democratic presidential nominee.

Rep. Donalds believes that neither one of them is qualified. However, being that President Biden is in office, the Florida lawmaker wonders how the president's recent mishaps could significantly affect the United States on the world stage.

"He's supposed to be the leader of the free world. Nobody really sees much of him until he's prepped to be in public, apparently. That's not a good look for our country," Rep. Donalds said.

"You heard his speech the other day during the Juneteenth ceremony. I mean, the major slurring of words does not build confidence," the Florida congressman added.

In the fact of criticism regarding his cognitive ability, the president has maintained that he's as sharp as they come. However, the fear still lingers that it's time for the president to leave the White House.

"It's a serious situation because, if he's doing that at the microphone, in front of the world, giving a speech, what's happening behind closed doors? What's the depth and ability to really make these decisions? How long can he be in a room mulling over all the details to make these decisions?" questioned Donalds
