The State of Florida has been the ultimate "Swing State" for just about every Presidential general election for both Republicans and Democrats. Still, now the Democratic Party appears to have raised the white flag of surrender and looks to have given up all hope to carry the battleground state in the 2024 election cycle.
President Joe Biden's reelection campaign Chairwoman Jen O'Malley recently stated that Florida was not in play for the sitting president.
"No," said O'Malley when asked if the campaign was targeting Florida.
Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) Chairman Evan Power was quick to respond to the Biden campaign's concession.
"Another day, another Florida Democrat debacle! Despite Nikki Fried's rhetoric, the Biden campaign is clearly waving the white flag in Florida," stated Power. "With nearly 1 million more registered Republicans than Democrats in the state, the Florida GOP’s grassroots operation is fully engaged and pressing on the gas. Make no mistake: Republicans are going to win, and win big, in November!"
Florida's Democratic Party has been able to recruit candidates for just about every single contested election night race, but the nearly 1 million registered voter advantage Gov. Ron DeSantis is credited of creating, has all but turned off the lights for any hope Florida Democrats had to win the state.
O'Malley's "No" could prove to be a death blow for Democrats in November.
The Fat Lady has begun to sing.
