The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants against Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Biden Administration has considered new sanctions on the Jewish State. Representative Mike Waltz (R-FL) decried the decisions in a brief appearance on Fox News's Life, Liberty, and Levin, calling the sanctions "absurd" and "ridiculous," particularly as the United States is aiding Israel in destroying Hamas.
Host Mark Levin began by pointing out the irony of the ICC issuing arrest warrants against democratically-elected leaders, even as Israel was the one attacked on October 7th in the first place and has been trying to minimize civilian casualties. Levin suspected the Biden Administration had said nothing because they wanted Netanyahu gone, asking Rep. Waltz for his opinion.
"I do not think you are wrong," replied Rep. Waltz, adding, "because, at the same time, the State Department spokesperson is standing there at the podium talking about sanctioning the [Israeli Defense Forces] for war crimes, and ally in the middle of a war with civilian oversight of its military that has conducted multiple investigations into one particular unit with civilian parliamentarians that were freely elected."
Yet, despite this, the United States is considering further sanctions on Israel, which Waltz said tells Hamas and their sponsors in Iran, "hold fast, keep doing what you are doing, your strategy to turn world opinion, including Israel's greatest ally, the United States of America, against Israel and isolate it is working."
In November, the Florida Congressman had warned that Hamas was "winning the propaganda war" against Israel, even as the terror group was losing militarily. Representative Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) similarly suggested Hamas had the upper hand in spreading disinformation about Israel's conduct in the war, as "there is a double standard when it comes to Israel, and Hamas has built a propaganda machine."
With the ICC calling for Netanyahu and his staff's arrest and the Biden Administration considering sanctioning the Jewish State, which Waltz called during his recent Levin appearance "the most absurd and ridiculous thing I have ever seen," the propaganda machine is working.
