Mast: Biden 'Succumbs to Propaganda,' Withholds Offensive Weapons from Israel in Rafah

Representative Brian Mast (R-FL) has released a statement concerning President Joe Biden’s (D) decision to withhold offensive weapons from Israel as it begins its operation in Rafah, the southernmost region in the Gaza Strip.

The Florida congressman has been incredibly vocal in his support for Israel and quite negative toward President Biden’s approach toward the situation as the war has dragged on for months with ceasefire deals continuing to not find a resolution.

In this case, Rep. Mast does not change course.

“Six Americans are being held hostage by Hamas, while countless others have been murdered and raped by this terrorist organization. Yet, the response from the American president is to take tactical advice from Ivy League undergraduates here on foreign visas who desecrate their own campuses and the statues of American warriors, like George Washington,” said Congressman Mast. “Biden’s response is to succumb to the propaganda of countries who themselves refuse to accept Palestinians within their borders. Hamas and any person in Gaza who supports them is America’s enemy and President Biden is proudly threatening to give aid and comfort to our enemy.”

Last month, the Florida congressman blasted President Biden for wanting to work toward a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict. He called it an “appeasement” to the left wing of the Democratic Party.

Joe Biden is trying to appease far-left lunatics by demanding Israel accept a ceasefire with terrorists,” said Rep. Mast. “Yet again, Biden is putting lives at risk in a desperate attempt to boost his poll numbers. We cannot abandon our best ally in the Middle East.”

In a similar breath, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) questioned the notion of the President asking Israel to push for a ceasefire, not Hamas.

“The president’s ultimatums should be going to Hamas, not Israel. Hamas resisted a ceasefire, brought about needless bloodshed, and refuses to release Israeli and American hostages. Biden should not undercut our ally amidst an existential threat by conditioning our support,” said Speaker Johnson.

This is a developing story.
