Thanks to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) is dead in Florida and a losing proposition for anyone running for elected office, but Aaron Dimmock must not have gotten that memo. Dimmock, who is a former Navy pilot and is running for Congress against Rep. Matt Gaetz (R) in the 2024 Republican primary election, has the bet house on DEI.
To quote Gov. DeSantis, “Florida is where DEI goes to die.”
And now, Florida’s 1st Congressional District is where the “DEI Dimmock” campaign went to die.
Rep. Gaetz, who arguably represents the most conservative, anti-Woke, anti-DEI congressional district in the state, has labeled Dimmock “DEI Dimmock” over social media postings he made in support of DEI.
So where can you find all of the “DEI Dimmock” pro-DEI social media findings?
Well, on a website Gaetz created, of course.
Interestingly enough, and a bit funny, Gaetz scooped up the aarondimmock.com, aarondimmockforcongress.com, and dimmockforcongress.com and has them pointed to one location, aarondimmockforcongress.com
This brazen and masterful move by Gaetz is a play right out of the Roger Stone campaign trickery playbook.
In addition, Dimmock appears to perhaps be backed by former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy.
Dimmock and McCarthy’s PAC share the same treasurer.
Coincidence?
There aren’t coincidences in politics.
