Conservative activist James O'Keefe recently released a video showing Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operator Amjad Fseisim allegedly describing how the intelligence community would hide information from former President Donald Trump and use the Foreign Agents Surveillance Act (FISA) to spy on his 2016 Presidential campaign. In response to the shocking news, Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) demands an investigation into the intelligence agencies by the House Weaponization Subcommittee.
The Gateway Pundit gave an overview of the video, in which Fseisim tells an undercover reporter about how they would deliberately hide information from President Trump because he was supposedly "a Russian asset" who would "disclose it." Fseisim implicated the CIA Director and even former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as being part of the scheme and described how the intelligence community sought to spy on Trump.
The CIA stated that they fired Fseisim after the recording. They are "a resolutely apolitical institution that provides intelligence support to policymakers including the President of the United States, irrespective of who occupies the office. We are a foreign intelligence-focused Agency and do not monitor the former President. The individual making these allegations is a former contractor who does not represent CIA."
Nevertheless, Rep. Gaetz wrote to Weaponization Chair Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) demanding an investigation into Fseisim's claims, saying they fall under the Subcommittee's jurisdiction.
The Florida Congressman displayed the letter on X (formerly Twitter), calling the O'Keefe video a "bombshell report containing video evidence that American intelligence agencies withheld intelligence from President Donald Trump before & during his presidency and used Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) authorities to spy on President Trump."

Rep. Gaetz had previously voted against the renewal of FISA in the April House vote, focusing primarily on the 278,000 abuses of FISA warrants and how "there has yet to be any consequences for this illegal activity by our government."
