Florida Dept of Education Launches Inquiry into Islamic School Connected to Antisemitic Mosque Leader

MIAMI, FL—The Department of Education has launched an official inquiry into the Reviver Academy, a private Islamic school that operates downstairs from where Fadi Kablawi—an antisemitic dentist—works as a mosque leader.

"I am glad that the Department of Education has acted immediately at my request and think it shows that Florida has little tolerance for the kind of Muslim terror celebrated in New York and California," Florida Senate candidate—and current Republican Representative—Randy Fine told The Floridian after the DOE letter was released, taking a shot at the most populous blue states.

Fine wrote to the Department of Education on Wednesday, informing them that Kablawi, who has called for the annihilation of "tyrannical Jews" and "the brothers of apes and pigs", also works as a religious leader at a North Miami mosque.

That mosque operates one floor above a private Islamic school, the Reviver Academy, which participates in state scholarship programs—meaning taxpayer money funds this school.

"In Florida, we will not tolerate calls for genocide. This is especially true where they are made in the presence of students. The Department has received a credible allegation that Fadi Kablawi is connected to [the Reviver Academy]," the Department of Education (DOE) letter to the Academy reads.

"Thus, the Department has reasonable cause to believe that a violation of the state scholarship program requirements has occurred. Therefore, it must conduct an inquiry or make a referral to the appropriate agency for an investigation," it continues, requiring the school to respond by May 24th.

While the DOE letter does not specifically name the Reviver Academy, The Floridian previously reported the connection between Kablawi's mosque and the school after an interview with Rep. Fine, who called it a "terror cell".

Tensions have rapidly risen between Jewish people and Muslims following terrorist group Hamas'—whose listed religion is Sunni Islam—October 7th surprise attack on Israel—a largely Jewish state—killing 1,200, kidnapping 250, and raping an undetermined amount of civilians.

Antisemitic incidents skyrocketed by over 360% following the attack, and reports of anti-Muslim incidents rose by around 217% in the two weeks following the attack.
