Former President Donald Trump endorsed US Representative Vern Buchanan (R-FL) earlier this week.
Representative Buchanan’s endorsement is one of many similar endorsements President Trump recently gave to other Florida legislators.
“Vern is a self-made man, and he is working hard to Lower our Taxes, Grow our Economy, Support our Military and Vets, Protect our Seniors, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment,” said Trump via TruthSocial.
Buchanan is running for reelection to Florida’s 16th Congressional District in Western Florida.
Buchanan is set to face off against Eddie Speir in the Republican primary, after which he will most likely run against Jan Schneider, whom he defeated in 2022 by a wide margin.
According to OpenSecrets, Buchanan has raised over $1 Million for his reelection campaign.
Trump also endorsed Representatives Matt Gaetz, John Rutherford, Mike Waltz, Anna Paulina Luna, Greg Steube, Scott Franklin, Byron Donalds, Brian Mast, Mario Diaz-Balart, Maria Elvira Salazar, Carlos Giménez, and Cory Mills.
