BREAKING: Webster Announces Visit to Trump Trial in NYC

Share

Multiple Florida Republicans have attended the ongoing "hush money" trial of former President Donald Trump in New York City, deriding it as a political sham. The Floridian is the first to obtain an announcement from Representative Daniel Webster (R-FL) detailing his planned trial attendance this Tuesday.

Per a source close to Rep. Webster's reelection campaign, "Rep. Webster is currently traveling to New York City to meet with President Trump at Trump Tower and then join him for his court trial tomorrow. As an early supporter of President Trump's reelection, Rep. Webster is disgusted by this sham trial brought by Democrats. Democrats are willing to debase our Justice system in their attempts to stop President Trump's almost certain return to the White House. Rep. Webster continues to fight against the weaponization of the judicial system and to get President Trump elected."

Senator Rick Scott (R-FL), the first Senator to sit in on the Trump trial, called it "a crime in this country to use a court system to go after your political opponent. What's happening in this courtroom is clearly criminal."

The following week, several lawmakers and Trump surrogates, including Representatives Byron Donalds (R-FL), Cory Mills (R-FL), Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), former Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy (R), North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum (R-ND), Eric Trump (R), and Republican National Committee Chair Lara Trump all sat in attendance of the trial, equally condemning its apparent politicization.

Shortly after, Representatives Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Mike Waltz (R-FL) visited, mocking the court proceedings as resembling the 1992 legal comedy My Cousin Vinny afterward in a joint appearance on Fox News's Hannity.
