WEST PALM BEACH— Moments after The Floridian released a video clip of Gov. Ron DeSantis expressing his disgust with, and calling for the expulsion of college students who have engaged in violent antisemitic acts depriving the civil liberties of Jewish students on their respective campuses, individuals apparently in support of the protests against Jews sounded their distaste with “America’s Governor.”
“This type of anti-Semitism where it's not just bad speech, they're targeting Jewish students. It's a hostile environment and violates the civil rights of those students, and these universities that they just aren't willing to do what needs to be done,” said Gov. DeSantis. “You know because you have a right to protest this stuff you don’t have a right to harass other people you don't have the right to go to target on someone's back based on their on their religion or ethnicity, and if you're doing those things, so you're going to be shown I think these students if they're foreign students on visas, their visa should be canceled and they should be sent home students.”

Some agitators even went as far as to accuse DeSantis of swearing allegiance to Israel.

More antisemitism...
The overwhelming majority of state and federal Republican and Democrat lawmakers, including Gov. DeSantis and Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D), have excoriated the pro-Hamas, antisemitic protestors.
Rep. Moskowitz broke his Passover plans with his family to travel to New York City and stand in solidarity with Jewish students at Columbia University, telling students that Congress on a “bipartisan basis” was going to address the issue.
Now the pro-Hamas lobby is inferring that the violent protesters are being targeted by public leaders like Moskowitz and police.
“Throughout history, protests were co-opted and made to look bad so police and public leaders would shut them down. That’s what we are seeing now at Columbia University. The Columbia protesters have made clear their demands and want their school not to be complacent in the ongoing Genocide in Gaza. Public officials and media making this about anything else are inflaming the situation and need to bring calmness and sanity back,” stated Rep. Ilhan Omar.
