Laurel Lee Rips Into Biden's Fiscal Budget Proposal: Americans 'Cannot Keep Up'

Representative Laurel Lee (R-FL) ripped into President Joe Biden’s (D) Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) budget proposal.

Within the congresswoman’s response, she mentioned that the American people simply “cannot keep up” with the President’s fiscal approach.

“President Biden’s proposed FY25 budget is reckless, irresponsible, and unsustainable,” said Rep. Lee. “It is time to reign in this administration's reckless spending and restore fiscal sanity for the future of our nation.”

Rep. Lee also said, “President Biden’s Fiscal Year 25 budget proposes the largest tax increase in history at 4.9 trillion [dollars]. Amid skyrocketing inflation and already crippling prices, the American people cannot keep up with President Biden’s out-of-control spending.”

She continued by naming the problems everyday U.S. citizens face due to rising economic costs.

“Gas prices, food costs, rent, and electricity rates have all increased drastically under President Biden’s reckless economic agenda. With commonsense solutions, like the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act, House Republicans remain committed to reining in Washington’s reckless spending habits, easing the burden on American taxpayers, and allowing America’s small businesses to grow and thrive.

“Bidenomics continues to squeeze the wallets of hardworking Americans. I am working to restore fiscal sanity and economic prosperity for all Americans,” concluded Lee.

Recently, Lee appeared on NewsNation to discuss the mental acuity of President Joe Biden (D) after Special Counsel Robert Hur deemed him unfit to stand trial as he is an “elderly man with poor memory.”

During Special Counsel Hur’s interview with President Biden, the Commander-In-Chief had a hard time remembering the year in which his son, Beau, died of brain cancer.

Rep. Lee commented on Hur’s report.

“And the reason that’s so important is it goes beyond this report itself. It really rests on the fact that this is our Commander-in-Chief. So, if we think that he comes across – that he has memory issues, that his mental acuity is in a place today that he is confused about information of national security importance, then we really have to ask ourselves, is it safe to have this person in the White House?” said Rep. Lee.

She continued, “And that was really the focus of the hearing yesterday, not just did a crime occur here, but what does it mean for us as Americans as we go to the polls in November.”

Both former President Donald Trump (R) and Joe Biden have officially secured their respective party’s nominations for the Oval Office this election cycle.
