Cammack Rips Biden Border Visit and Treatment of Illegals, 'Like Living in 1984'

President Biden and former President Donald Trump both visited the southern border recently, with two very different messages. Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL) commented on President Biden's address in a recent appearance on Fox News's Faulkner Focus, saying its only purpose was to "secure votes" and railed against the benefits illegal immigrants receive, calling it "backwards" and comparing it to "living in 1984," the dystopian George Orwell novel.

Rep. Cammack's first point about "securing votes" was accentuated by the fact that Biden visited Brownsville, which has seen fewer border crossings, compared to Eagle Pass, where Trump visited.

"He would have been serious if he had gone to, say, Del Rio, El Paso, Tucson, San Diego, any sector that has been seeing thousands of illegals crossing on any given day. But instead, as I said, this was about securing the vote, not securing the border. It's a joke, and we all know it," said Rep. Cammack.

Host Harris Faulkner then played a clip from an interview Trump gave with Sean Hannity, where he described the benefits illegal immigrants receive, while citizens and veterans receive "nothing," prompting Faulkner to mention a bill drafted by Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) to prevent Veterans Affairs resource going to illegals.

The redirection of VA resources was the subject of a December letter led by Representative Greg Steube (R-FL), who called it "an absurdity."

Cammack called the usage of VA resources "absolutely a slap in the face to people who have put their life on the line for this country, who have given service to this country," and mentioned other instances where illegals seemed to receive better treatment than Americans, such as New York's James Madison High School forcing students to study remotely to house migrants, albeit briefly.

"The entire system is completely backwards. I feel like I am living in 1984. Everything is messed up, and it is backwards, and it only stops when we take Joe Biden out of the White House, and we replace him with Donald Trump," Cammack concluded.
