Mast Accuses Biden Admin of Speaking From 'Both Sides' of the Mouth Once Again

Representative Brian Mast (R-FL) appeared on Fox News’ “Mornings with Maria” to discuss the border crisis as well as President Joe Biden (D) and his administration’s handling of the issue.

The Florida congressman stated that if President Biden were to put his job performance under the scrutiny of military standards, then he would be out of compliance with his duties.

“Clearly the President can secure the border if he wants. If we put this in military parlance, it would be in violation of his first general order for all military: I will guard everything within the limits of my post and quit my post only when properly relieved or dereliction of duty,” said Rep. Mast.

 

He continued, “They (the Biden administration) have no interest in [securing the border]. Thank God that the Republicans in the Senate decided they weren’t going to take up that bill that was being pushed forward there to allow 4,000 or 5,000, however many through a day.”

Rep. Mast once again accused the President of deceiving the American people by talking out of “both sides” of his mouth and attempted to shoot down the argument that the right side of the aisle is at fault for what is occurring at the border.

“But again, this is another example of both sides of the President’s mouth as well. Clearly Republicans aren’t to blame. We do everything that we can to push them to secure the border, which they can do, but he’ll go out there and say, ‘No, it’s secure, it’s safe, it’s humane. It’s all of these things,’ while everybody’s watching on video people pour across through or them cutting down fences or telling Texas to take down containers that are physically blocking people from coming through.

“It’s all both sides of their mouth,” Mast concluded.

Recently, the Florida congressman first accused Biden of “speaking out of both sides of his mouth” about their strategy toward Iran.

Rep. Mast pointed out that Tehran is attempting to deceive the world of its motivations.

“[Iran is] constantly trying to mislead, whether it is their support of the Houthis, whether it is their support of Hezbollah, of Hamas, or take your pick of any of these entities, they are always going to present that their hands are off of it,” said Mast.

"And the big problem that I see in all of this," Mast continued, is that while CENTCOM Commander Michael Kurilla "has the targets and capability to destroy those targets, but at the same time that he has those capabilities, he has the President constantly speaking out of both sides of his mouth, where we will kill Arabians or kill those that are participating. But then the President will say, 'No, listen, we do not want war with you, we do not want this.'”

“Every instance is dealing with the President messing it up politically because he is going to speak out of both sides of his mouth. That is the hamstring."

Mast represents Florida’s 21^st District.
