House Republicans Say Decision in Trump's NY Civil Fraud Case 'Disgusting'

Share

Republican House representatives immediately responded to New York’s ruling against former President Donald Trump (R) in which he has been ordered to pay over $350 million in a civil fraud case.

The right side of the aisle voiced their displeasure with the decision with some ferocity in defense of President Trump.

Representative Cory Mills (R-FL) called the decision “politically motivated lawfare.”

“The NY verdict is clearly politically motivated lawfare. This weaponized injustice is intended to target the President, his family, businesses, in an attempt to discredit and drain financial resources,” said Rep. Mills. “This is political persecution of President Trump and the American people see exactly what’s happening. From the unconstitutional removals from state ballots, filings of indictments in courtrooms to deter from campaigning, and election interference by leftist District Attorneys and Attorney General henchmen like Jack Smith.

“We will not allow lawfare to replace the ballot box where Biden is FAR behind and losing,” concluded Rep. Mills.

Representative Ronny Jackson (R-TX) called the New York Judge presiding over the case a “pathetic idiot.”

“DISGUSTING! The PATHETIC IDIOT ‘Judge’ Engoron has found Trump guilty in his NY trial and fined him a ridiculous amount of money. He is now the head clown in the CORRUPT New York banana republic judicial system. These radical Democrat judges and prosecutors are doing the DIRTY WORK of Joe Biden and the Deep State. Trump IS coming back!! America WILL be Great Again!” said Rep. Jackson.

Leader of the Republican Conference Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY) released a statement concerning the ruling that was made in her home state.

“Tish James made clear her entire goal as New York's Attorney General was to prosecute President Donald Trump. James' unethical behavior and political bias are why I filed a bar complaint against her with the Attorney Grievance Committee, asking them to disbar her. This is just the latest example of the justice system being weaponized by extreme Democrats to try and stop President Trump from winning back the White House this November,” said Rep. Stefanik. “These deranged radical Leftists will stop at nothing, and nothing is off limits as they desperately try to keep Joe Biden, who is mentally incapable of being President, in power. The American people will not stand for this; they will elect President Trump as our 47th President of the United States.”

President Trump announced that he would appeal the decision.
